Adam Westbrook

Adam Westbrook is a dedicated civic engagement professional with over 15 years of experience in educational leadership and community development. Currently serving as Program Director for Generation Citizen New England, he manages public school partnerships across Massachusetts Rhode Island, Connecticut, and Vermont, supporting over 300 middle and high school teachers in implementing Community-based Civics curriculum.

Previously, Adam served as Director of the Center for Community Engagement at Suffolk University from 2018-2023 in Boston, where he developed award-winning civic leadership programs and managed partnerships with over 80 nonprofit organizations. His leadership contributed to Suffolk University receiving national recognition as a Carnegie Foundation Community Engaged Institution and earning national recognition from the All-In Campus Democracy Challenge for Suffolk’s high student voter engagement.

He also has extensive international community engagement experience, having led service-learning and cross-cultural learning programs in Spain, Myanmar, and Israel-Palestine.

Adam holds Master’s degrees in Religious Studies from both Boston University (2019) and the University of Denver (2009), along with a B.A. in Sociology from Ithaca College (2004). He is a two-term Americorps Alum, and continues to advocate for national service programs with Service Year Alums. Adam currently serves as a Facilitator with New Politics, where he supports servant leaders to run for office, and locally as a member of the Waltham Cultural Council in his city, Waltham, Massachusetts.
