Amy has more than a decade of experience working with youth and education nonprofits in the U.S. and abroad. She joined Generation Citizen in 2020, bringing a background in nonprofit fundraising, communications, and development. Amy also brings to her role a commitment to community organizing and local civic engagement, having served as a 2020 Census Enumerator in Boston, MA, and as an active volunteer supporting grassroots candidates in local and national elections.
As Associate Director, Grants, Amy leads GC’s institutional fundraising efforts, serving as a lead grant writer and relationship builder for major institutional funders. She supports national and regional fundraising strategy, collaborates with GC’s national fundraising team, and manages systems and processes that support prospecting and grant development across the organization.
Originally from Maplewood, New Jersey, Amy holds a B.S. in Economics from Washington University in St. Louis and an M.A. in Urban Studies from the CUNY School of Labor and Urban Studies, where she focused her studies on Economic Democracy and Community Leadership. She lives in Brooklyn, NY, and in her free time enjoys live music and theater, being outdoors, eating home-cooked meals, and walking in Prospect Park with her chihuahua mix, Lady.
