Jane C. Lo is an Associate Professor of Teacher Education at Michigan State University. Her research focuses on civic education broadly. Specifically, she is interested in the political engagement of youth, how social studies curriculum and instruction influence them, as well as the impact of inequitable civic experiences on our polity. She teaches courses in social studies methods and is passionate about expanding more equitable civic education for students of all ages.
Before becoming a teacher educator, Dr. Lo was a high school government and economics teacher in Austin, TX.
